Depth of Field

Sierra Claes               Per. 3              9-24-19

Depth and Feild is about the nearest and farthesed objects in focus and sharpened. The depth and field can be based on the length, distance to subject, to acceptable circle of confusion size, and aperture. The zone of the acceptable sharpness within a photo that will appear in focus.

In every picture there is a certain area of your image in front of, and behind the subject that will appear in focus. This zone will vary from photo to photo. Some images may have very small zones of focus which is called shallow depth of field.

Three ways to control Depth and Field:

1. Adjust the size of your aperture. The F-stop

2. Change your distance from the focal point. As you move closer to your main point of focus, the images depth and field decreases; moving farther away increases the depth and field.

3. last is coming the right focal length for your lens.

This is a good depth and field it don't really mainly focused on anything, its more focused on the rocks and the sunset behind.

Unknown-1.jpeg

This ones a shallow depth and field because it is mainly focused on the leaf instead of the background like the other photo.
